Our pottery experiences are designed to give you as much time handling clay as possible. We limit sessions to a maximum of four participants per group to ensure you get individual attention and a better experience overall. Our aim is for everyone to have a great time in a relaxed environment, and to have made at least one piece per person by the end of the session. You will be able to try a few different methods, so there's no need to worry if throwing is not for you! We tailor each session to the individuals ability, experience and wishes. Our experiences are not suitable for those under sixteen.
Once you have made your pot it will need to dry and then we will fire it for you. After that you can either come back to decorate your work yourself, or we can glaze it for you. Your pot is fired again. We can send it to you when it is ready. Please see below for the full details of each experience we offer.

GLAZING PACKAGE:

half day experience
A half day experience for up to three people will last 2.5 hours and can be morning or afternoon to suit you. All participants have the choice to try a number of making techniques; this, of course, includes throwing a pot on a potters wheel. You will have access to a variety of clays to suit your intended project.
The price includes two piece per person which will be dried, fired, glazed with a single colour of your choice. If you would like to decorate your work yourself we offer a package upgrade which includes a 120 minute session with access to a wider variety of surface decoration and specialist glazes.
If you would like your work sent to you by post rather than collecting it, we are more than happy do so. Postage and packaging will be charged at normal rates.
Full day experience
A full day experience will last five hours with an option for an hour break. Timings can be adjusted to your needs by agreement.
In a full day session you will explore different throwing styles and techniques, as well as trying other making methods if you wish. The price includes up to four pieces per person which will be dried, fired, glazed with a single colour of your choice. If you would like to decorate your work yourself we offer a package upgrade which includes a 120 minute session with access to a wider variety of surface decoration and specialist glazes.
